I will describe Sicily to you through music, trying to imagine the events that happened in Sicily, when the composer we are speaking about, lived.
It’s an opportunity to know both, Sicily and the artist.

We are in the twelfth century, when Hildegard von Bingen lived (1098-1179)
At that time, Sicily was ruled by the Normans, who, just 23 years before the birth of our artist, conquered the island, undermining the Arabs.
Saint Hildegard of Bingen, also known as Saint Hildegard, and Sibyl of the Rhine, was a German writer, composer, philosopher, Christian mystic, Benedictine abbess, and visionary.
Throughout her life, Hildegard produced a substantial and fascinating body of work ranging from music to medicine to cosmology and God.
