Tindari: a walk in the hamlet and the Greek theatre

It was a gorgeous day, sun shone in the blue Sicilian sky, and the gulf, down there, opened its arms to the beautyness.
In short, was that kind of day were everything is perfectly fixed either in your mind, in your hearth and in your soul.
This perfect state of mind took advantage, doubtless, from the quiet and relaxing atmosphere one can breath in this lovely little village of Tindari.
Tindari is, basically, made of two parts: on the Southern there is the terrific Cathedral of the black Virgin Mary that is located in a big square overlooking the sea, in one of the most stunning panorama of Sicily.

I encounter many lovely inhabitants who opened to me the doors of their houses, introducing me to many stories about the place.

On the opposite side (North), just a kilometer on, after passin low houses and narrow streets and alleys, you will approach the asounding ruins of the ancient Tindari (IV b.C.).
It’s a classic place where one would live its whole life, in the company of some book, a glass of wine, a pen to put down some memory and a silver candlestick as light.
