Out and about – Journeying Sicily

Let’s take a nice walk in Sicily to discover its wonders

2 places: We are in the inland of Sicily and this is the castle of Gresti, XIV century; and this is the town of Favara, areal Sicily, with strong traditions still strong.

2 museums: The Abatellis palace in Palermo, a gorgeous museum with many paintings, among others the Virgin Annunciate of Antonello da Messina; the ethno-antropological museum in Agira

2 archaeological sites: The valley of the temples in Agrigento the caves of Calaforno

2 nature sites: Etna, the highest volcano in Europe; Zingaro nature reserve, in western Sicily

2 foods: la Pasta con le sarde, the typical pasta in Palermo and the Cannolo sweet with ricotta

Studio 2

Anna Russolillo: Among the trips to Palermo and its surroundings we also visited the island of Ustica, a beautiful island: we fell in love with the sea, the farmers, the donkeys. It is an enchanting island to which I return every year and which I invite everyone to visit.

Almanacco
